The Basque Sheepherder

The Basque Sheepherder focuses on the job that so many Basques came to be known for in the American West.  Peek inside a sheepwagon, where many Basques spent several months at a time living while they were in the hills herding sheep.  Step inside of a full size sheepherder's tent and see another way in which these secluded men would live.  There are also photographs, artifacts and a few carved tree trunks, or arborglyphs as these types of marks the herders left behind in the landscape came to be known.
